Candice B. Abuso, MD
I received my medical degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center- New Orleans, and completed my medical residency at the University of Tennessee. I am board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
I joined the Medical Staff at West Jefferson Medical Center in 2000. I was born in Oaklawn, Illinois and raised in Slidell, Louisiana. I attended Salmen High School and have lived on the Westbank since 2000.
With over 15 years of experience, I continue to practice because I enjoy being part of the west bank community and getting to know my patients and their families.
I chose to practice internal medicine/primary care because it's important to not only manage chronic disease but be proactive in preventions and managing complications of those diseases.
In primary care, I hope to empower the patient to take charge of their health and be active participants in their healthcare.
