My grandson (while not by blood, our bond is quite strong) has PKD. He will need a kidney transplant at some point in his life. Most likely during his childhood. His kidneys will fail. He is 2 years old and his kidneys are the size of a 10-year-old child. When this time comes, I pray there will be a donor for him. All life is precious. And giving life is more valuable than I can express.
