About West Jefferson Urology Specialists

For decades, our doctors and staff have been committed to providing competent, state-of-the-art urologic care in a friendly and professional atmosphere. We provide a full complement of adult urologic care with particular expertise in minimally invasive robotic surgery for urologic cancers, stone disease, female urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and Benign Prosthetic Hypertrophy (BPH).

Meet our physicians

Dr. Wesley BryanDr. Wesley Bryan – Dr. Bryan earned his medical degree and completed six years of residency training at Tulane University, including two years of general surgery. After completing residency in 2002, he practiced for three years on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He returned to the New Orleans area and has been in private practice and on West Jefferson Medical Center's medical staff since 2005. He currently practices adult urology and has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery, including the treatment of urologic cancers, stone disease, BPH, and female urology/incontinence.

Dr. Bryan continues to keep up with advances in urology and urologic surgery. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology and is a certified robotic surgeon and a member of the American Urologic Association.

Dr. Pablo LabadieDr. Pablo Labadie – Dr. Labadie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1991. He spent the next three years on active duty with the U.S. Marine Corps as a battalion surgeon. Following his service, he returned to New Orleans to complete his surgical and urological residencies at Tulane University Medical Center.

Dr. Labadie has been on staff at West Jefferson Medical Center since July 2000. He is active in local medical leadership, having served as Chief of Surgery at West Jefferson Medical Center and as President of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society. In addition to his practice, he is a clinical professor at the Tulane University Department of Urology. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. His areas of interest include urinary incontinence, voiding dysfunction, and pelvic floor reconstruction.

Dr. Labadie is married with three children and is an avid runner and New Orleans Saints fan.

Dr. Ryan GlassDr. Ryan Glass – Dr. Ryan Glass completed his medical degree and urology residency training at Tulane University. He joined his current practice, West Jefferson Urology Specialists in 2006. He is board certified by the American Board of Urology.

Dr. Glass specializes in the minimally invasive treatment of both malignant and benign urologic conditions with a particular interest in prostate and kidney cancers, kidney stone disease and BPH. He is proficient at da Vinci robotic surgeries with over 15 years of robotic experience. He is active in the urologic community as a member of the Louisiana Urologic Association, Southeastern Section of the AUA and American Urology Association.

Dr. Glass lives in New Orleans with his wife and two Children.

Dr. Matthew Strain – Dr. Matthew Strain earned his medical degree from LSU Health Shreveport in 2013. He then completed his general surgery internship and urologic surgery residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center in Memphis, TN.

Dr. Strain is certified by the American Board of Urology. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery, urologic cancers, kidney stone disease, BPH/enlarged prostate, urinary incontinence, and men's health.

A native of Mandeville, Dr. Strain is glad to be back in South Louisiana serving the New Orleans area as a member of West Jefferson Urology Specialists, which he joined in 2018. He currently serves as a member of the American Urological Association, AUA Southeast Section, and Louisiana Urologic Association.
