We are dedicated to providing the highest quality comprehensive, inpatient rehabilitation services to individuals with functional impairments in an atmosphere that affirms dignity and self- respect. Our purpose is to restore each person to his/her maximum level of physical, cognitive, and functional independence, both at home and in the community, and to assist the patient and family in adjusting to their altered lifestyles.
Scope of services
Our comprehensive, CARF- accredited rehabilitation programs provide services for those who have sustained functional loss due to an illness or injury, including but not limited to, stroke, brain injury, joint replacement, amputation, spinal cord injury, trauma, pulmonary and cardiac conditions, and other orthopedic and neurological conditions. Patients under 18 years of age are evaluated on a case-by-case basis for admission. During 2020, the rehab unit admitted no patients under the age of 18.
The program does not currently serve persons who are ventilator dependent, comatose, have a C4 complete or above spinal cord injury. When patients do not qualify admission, the Rehab Center serves as a resource for alternative placements throughout the continuum of care.
Most patients participating in the program receive a minimum of 3 hours of therapy, 5 days a week. In some instances, patients receive 15 hours of therapy over 7 days. Patients receive individualized treatment plans that are managed by our Medical Director and may include any combination of Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, along with a Leisure Activity Program.
