Computed Tomography (CT) Positron Emission Tomography (PET) are imaging tools that allow physicians to pinpoint the location of cancer within the body before making treatment recommendations. The PET scan images the biology of disorders at the molecular level, while the CT scan provides a detailed picture of the body’s internal anatomy. The PET/CT scan combines the strengths of these two imaging modalities into a single scan.
All of our PET/CT technologists are licensed by the State of Louisiana and by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine.
