On Friday, October 9, 2020, we will celebrate West Jefferson Medical Center’s 60th anniversary at the English Turn Country Club in New Orleans. This extraordinary cocktail reception will be an evening filled with lively music, delicious food, and exciting live and silent auctions in a grand effort to raise funds to benefit the Neurosciences Department.
The night is also dedicated to recognize the second recipient of the Frank C. Di Vincenti, MD Community Leadership Award. Learn more about this prestigious award that recognizes annually an individual for his or her excellence in leadership.
A Little Extra for a Great Cause such as tremors, Parkinson’s disease, epilepsy, and obsessive compulsive disorders.
Our fundraising efforts will help fund much needed surgical equipment known as the Deep Brain Stimulator (DBS), which will be used by West Jefferson neurosurgeons to assist hundreds of patients annually with movement disorders. The DBS surgical procedure involves implanting electrodes to produce impulses that will regulate abnormal pulses in certain areas of the brain.
