Caring For Your Newborn

Family Birth Place

Your baby is dependent upon you for love, affection, care, feeding and protection. Before the baby is born you should start learning how to care for your baby. Your doctor, the baby’s doctor, the local library or bookstore are places to start.

Caring for Your Newborn, a prenatal class offered by The Family Birth Place, can also help you and the baby’s father learn how to care for the baby. The basics of baby care including bathing, feeding, care of the cord and common newborn problems are some of the topics included in this class, led by Registered Nurses.

Registration Info:

The classroom is on the 1st floor of the hospital, in the Hall of History next to the cafeteria. For additional information please call 504.349.6200.
