West Jefferson Hospital Foundation Welcomes New Board Members

The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of six new board members, Lisa Ballay, Emon Cobb Sr., Damon Dietrich, MD, Jason DiMarco, Dale Ivankovich, and Andrew Richard, Jr.

“We are excited to welcome our new members to the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation as we continue to expand our efforts to raise funds to enhance patient care at West Jefferson Medical Center,” said Tina Dandry-Mayes, president of West Jefferson Hospital Foundation. “These new board members will help to strengthen our commitment to support exceptional healthcare services right here on the Westbank.”

The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of a dedicated team of community leaders in our region who are committed to advancing the mission of the Foundation which is to enhance patient care at West Jefferson Medical Center through philanthropic support.

Lisa Ballay, RN is the Director of Surgical Practice Clinics at West Jefferson Medical Center. She has been part of the West Jefferson family for over five years, initially managing the Otolaryngology office for four years before transitioning to a director position overseeing the Neurosurgery, Otolaryngology and Urology clinics.

Emon Cobb, Sr. grew up and resides Marrero. He is an experienced business leader on the Westbank and owner of Elite Enterprises Management Corporation in Marrero.

Damon Dietrich, MD is Chief Medical Information Officer for LCMC Health System and practices emergency medicine at West Jefferson Medical Center. Prior to his current appointment with LCMC Health System, Dr. Dietrich was Chief Medical Information Officer (2010 – 2016) at West Jefferson Medical Center.

Jason DiMarco, grew up in Marrero and Harvey and recently became Deputy Chief of Police for the Gretna Police Department. Formerly, Mr. DiMarco was the Assistant Police Chief of the Westwego Police Department. He began his career in law enforcement 22 years ago prior to joining the Westwego Police Department, he led various divisions for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Gretna Police Department.

Andrew Richard, Jr., is a resident of Marrero and is lead for business development at the landscape architecture and design firm, Mullin. Before his current position, Andrew had close to 20 years’ experience working in the restaurant industry.

Dale L. Ivankovich, a resident of Gretna, established First Metro Agencies in 1985. The agency provided auto and business insurance along with auto title transfers and notary services. He became one of the first businessmen to enroll and complete Gretna’s Citizens Policy Academy.

The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation, was founded in 2004 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization to benefit West Jefferson Medical Center. In support of our community hospital, the Foundation maintains a commitment to raising funds as a means of improving overall patient care at West Jefferson.
