Elder Plus Exercise Classes
Exercise classes for Elder Plus members every Tuesday and Thursday, 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. at the West Jeff Fitness Center Marrero location. Just show your Elder Plus ID card to join the class.

The West Jeff Fitness Centers, located on the West Jefferson Medical Center campus in Marrero and at the Oakwood Wellness Center in Terrytown, have a professional staff to assist you with development of a personal program based on your fitness goals. Improved Fitness Center amenities… our warm water pool is now open at the Marrero location, with refurbished lockers and over 20 aquatic exercise classes per week. Rehabilitation staff help you exercise your way to a healthy heart.
Learn how to lead a heart healthy lifestyle. Classes meet each Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday at The West Jeff Fitness Centers. We have a variety of exercise

Vital skills can assist in helping a loved one with an addiction problem

Active Parenting Class
Active Parenting is a six week video-based parenting course let by a master’s level counselor. This educational program is for parents of children ages four to twelve and thirteen to seventeen. Call 391-2440 to pre-register or for more information.

Adult Intensive Outpatient Evening Program
This innovative new therapy program is aimed at assisting working adults
in the community who may have difficulty coping with stress, anxiety,
depression, anger or grief. The group sessions will be facilitated by

Bosom Buddies Breast Cancer and Lymphedema Support Group
An empowering group of women welcomes anyone who has been affected by all stages of breast cancer from diagnosis to treatment and recovery or loss. Meets the first Tuesday of every month. For information, call 349-1875
AICD Support Group
West Jefferson Medical Center has an AICD Support Group for AICD recipients
and their loved ones to help them better understand specific concerns
which are unique to having an AICD. If you or a loved one has an AICD,
you can receive further information on the support group activities
