West Jefferson Medical Center’s Diabetes Services has a team of Educators that can evaluate and educate patients on all aspects of Diabetes care.

The program is certified by the American Diabetes Association. It’s a comprehensive program that includes a certified nurse diabetes educator and a certified diabetes dietitian. Click Here for more info on diabetes dietitian services.

These services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid and most insurances. We also offer a low-cost self-pay program. Physician referral is required to schedule a class. Assistance to obtain this referral is obtained by calling 349-2222. The classes are taught at the Knowledge Center located at 4523 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, La.
