Employee Assistance Program (E.A.P.) Fact Sheet
WHAT IS THE EAP?
West Jefferson Medical Center Employee Assistance Program provides confidential, professional assistance to help employees and their family members address personal problems that might affect their personal lives and/or job performance. The EAP is a voluntary program that encourages individuals to seek assistance on their own. The EAP can enhance the work climate of an organization and promote the health and well-being of employees. The EAP provides services for West Jefferson Medical Center as well as local business and industry members. Some of the benefits of having an EAP.....
- Fewer disciplinary actions, improved employee morale and productivity
- Early identification and resolution of problems affecting job performance
- Reduced company losses due to theft, absenteeism, fraud, accidents, medical claims
- For every dollar invested in an EAP, employers can save from $5 to $16. The national cost range for an EAP is $12-$20 per employee (U.S. Dept. of Labor)
