West Jefferson Medical Center physicians, nurses and staff provide a host of care in the area of orthopedics and orthopedic surgery.

Quality services are offered in the areas of joint reconstruction, spinal disorders, hand, foot and ankle, shoulder and elbow injury, as well as comprehensive rehabilitation provided in the inpatient as well as outpatient setting.

The Medical Center has a dedicated orthopedic nursing unit on 5 South. Speech, physical and occupational therapy are provided on the unit as well as in the outpatient setting in Rehab Connection at the West Jeff Medical Plaza just one block from campus and in the West Jeff Wellness Complex in Terrytown. The inpatient Rehab Unit is another setting within the hospital caring for some patients with orthopedic conditions following accidents or other trauma.

Further supporting the needs of patients with orthopedic conditions, West Jeff Fitness Center features an Aquatics Center with therapy pool SwimEx. The general pool is temperature appropriate for persons with arthritis and related conditions.
