The West Jefferson Hospital Foundation is the philanthropic arm for West Jefferson Medical Center.
A 501 C (3) non profit organization, the Foundation is a legally separate body operated for charitable purposes.
A distinct entity, the WJ Hospital Foundation has its own Board of Directors.
From advocacy, to education and support of patient care services, the Foundation has generated
both funds and goodwill for WJMC. Funds donated to the West Jefferson Hospital Foundation have supported many services
of the Medical Center including cancer care, the Alzheimer’s Day Care Center, cardiovascular care, women’s services,
pediatrics and community outreach.
A relatively new Foundation, dating back to shortly before Hurricane Katrina, the non-profit
helped the Medical Center open the Alzheimer’s Day Care Center in partnership with the community to serve patients and families.
One of the newest opportunities for giving is the Vietnamese fund. Individuals or corporations may
designate the Vietnamese fund to support health education outreach to the Vietnamese community.
